Dayton, August 3 2018 – Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s Tate Robertson was not only selected for the 2018 USL PDL All Central Conference Team, but also for the USL PDL National Best XI team. Robertson scored 6 goals in 13 games and had 7 assists. Harvey Slade and Jackson Dietrich (six goals, six assists) receiveda 2018 All Central Conference Honorable Mention.J.J. Williams finished the season with 9 goals. Former Dayton Dutch Lions FC Women’s team player Rose Lavelle’s scored her third international goal for the US National team in a 4-1 victory vs. Brazil this week to win the 2018 Tournament of Nations.Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC Men’s Max Wilschrey (9 goals, 4 assists) received a 2018 All Central Conference Honorable Mention while captain Mark Lindstrom was selected for the 2018 All Central Conference Team. Antone Jarvis and Jacob Powell of Dutch Lions FC NPSL (Houston) were selected in the 2018 Lone Star Conference All Star XI. The club also elected Alexandre Frank as MVP for the 2018 campaign. No All Star Teams were selected in the WPSL but the club did host a post season event with their fans and academy players. The club (just like Dayton and Houston) is preparing for the 2018-2019 academy season that starts next week. Based on their outstanding results over the summer, the FGCDL FC U8 team and coach John Teeter qualified for the 3v3 Disney National Championship in Orlando this weekend, placing fourth in the polls. New York Dutch Lions FC appeared in a nice six-page article in one of the biggest magazines in the Netherlands this week about the two games last month. FC Cincinnati (13-3-5) had no league game scheduled this past weekend but did play an exciting game vs Spanish Primera Division club RCD Espanyol. The game ended in 3-2 for Espanyol. They remain on top of the Eastern Conference. They also announced the signing of veteran Nigerian striker Adi from Major League Soccer’s Portland Timbers as well as Swedish defender Pa Konate from Italian Serie A club SPAL. On Saturday, they face Nashville SC (8-6-6) at home.
