Washington Dutch Lions FC wins inaugural game

WDL FC picks up first win, DDL FC women's team earns a point on the road, DDL FC men and FGCDL FC come up short

Washington Dutch Lions FC played their inaugural game this weekend at home vs SJEB. The team, lead by Michel Vanderhart and George Hales, won 3-1 with two goals by Dakota Chan. Dayton Dutch Lions FC's women's team earned a point on the road on Friday when the came back with a 2-2 tie from Indianapolis playing vs FC Pride. Less than 20 hours later they lost 0-3 at home vs neighbor Cincinnati Sirens FC. The men's team of Dayton lost 5-2 on Wednesday vs a strong Toledo. Vince Stams scored both goals for the Lions. On Saturday they lost 5-0 vs South Bend. Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC's women's team lost their home opener vs FC Surge with 1-3 despite a strong second half. The goal was scored by Kelly Giddes.

Miami Dutch Lions FC plays their season opener on Wednesday when they travel to Orlando to play Central Florida Panthers at 6.3opm. The men's team of Dayton also plays on Wednesday at home vs Kalamazoo.
